SneeuwklokjesHet mooie weer dit weekend heeft heel veel mensen naar buiten gelokt. De zon schijnt volop, er staat geen wind en met een temperatuur van rond de 12° C is het echt voorjaar te noemen. Wel wat vroeg, maar ach... het is niet anders. Ik ben daarom op pad gegeaan om eens te kijken of de eerste bloembollen en voorjaarsbloemen al zijn opgekomen. En ja hoor, in 1 dag zon en bij deze temperatuur lijkt alles opeens te willen bloeien. De eerste exemplaren kwam ik al snel tegen, zomaar langs de kant van de weg, maar ook al in sommige voortuinen. Het voorspelt een vroeg voorjaar te worden.
The beautiful weather this weekend has enticed many people to go outside. Today it was a sunny day, there was no wind and with a temperature around the 12° C we could name it Spring. A little bit early, well... it is as it is. Therefor I also went outdoors to see the first upcoming Spring flowers. And yes, 1 day sunlight, with this temperature and suddenly it seems everything want to bloom. I saw the first flowers, just along the road side, but also in some front gardens. I think it will be an early Spring this year.
CrocussenIn enkele voortuinen zag ik deze plantjes al in bloei staan, soorten die heel lang blijven doorbloeien. De namen ken ik echter niet, maar ze zijn mooi en kleurrijk.
In a few front gardens, I saw these plants already blooming, kinds that remain blooming for quite a long time. I do not know the names, however they are beautiful and colourful.
De vroege seizoenen zijn al lang niet meer zo bijzonder, overal lees ik berichten over bloemen die zijn uitgekomen, van hier in Holland tot Engeland en Canada, dus ongetwijfeld zal dit fenomeen zich wereldwijd voordoen.
The early seasons are no longer exceptional, everywhere I read about early blooming flowers, from here in Holland till England and Canada, thus undoubtedly this phenomenon is seen as a world-wide show.
BollenveldenThe large bulbs fields are temporarily covered by a thick package straw to prevent damage by frost. Now the weather is nice but you never know, it is the middle of February, and unexpected things can happen.
Verliefde zwanenDit koppel verliefde zwanen zou net de rijbaan gaan oversteken om naar een andere sloot of vijver te lopen. Gelukkig zag ik op tijd wat ze van plan waren en ik heb gauw mijn auto aan de kant van de weg gezet. Het was mijn bedoeling om het andere verkeer voorzichtiger te laten rijden om ongelukken te voorkomen. Dat lukte wel, maar ik kon de zwanen niet helpen met oversteken, daarom heb ik ze kalm maar vastbesloten terug laten gaan naar de sloot waaruit ze waren geklommen. Het jonge mannetje was het er niet helemaal mee eens en siste en blies naar mij of het een lieve lust was. Maar ik bleef rustig staan en begon maar wat foto's te maken om de tijd te verdrijven. Beide vogels zagen er prachtig uit in hun stralend witte verenpak. Hoe deze indrukwekkende dieren ook lopen, zwemmen of gaan, ik zie er altijd een hartvorm in.
This couple of swans in love would cross the road to find another ditch or pond. Fortunately I saw what they planned to do and I have quickly stopped and parked my car at the side of the road. It was my intention to slow down the other traffic to let them drive carefully to prevent misfortunes. That succeeded, but I could not help the swans with crossing the road, I could persuade them calmly but determined to go back back to the ditch from where they came. The young male swan totally disagreed with me, for a while he hissed and blew to impress me but I remained calm and began to make a few photographs to pass the time. After a while they went back to where they came from. Both birds were beautiful in their radiant white feathers. These animals are so impressive, the way they walk, swim or move, I always see a heart shape in in their body and their movements.
Dit alles geeft mij het gevoel dat de lente nu wel heel dichtbij is gekomen.
This day gives me the feeling that Spring is quite nearby now.
